Dementia Playlists

FREE for carers and families of people living with dementia and anyone with an interest in dementia

Dementia Pathfinders is working with music and dementia charity Playlist for Life to support local residents create and use playlists of personal music. Working together, our aim is to raise awareness of the power of playlists and establish Help Points in existing community organisations, so that trained volunteers can help anyone who gets stuck making and using their own playlist.

Help Points in local communities: Help Points give out tools and information for people who want to use a playlist and offer help from trained volunteers to anyone who gets stuck. The Help Points are somewhere you can go if you want to pick up some information on how to start using playlists if you have or know someone with dementia.

Dementia Pathfinders are delighted to have set up our first Playlist for Life Help Point, in partnership with Orchard House Care Home, Isle of Wight.

Newport sessions are held at Barchester Orchard House Care Home, 189 Fairlee Rd, Newport PO30 2EP. The sessions will be held every 2nd Friday morning of the month and will be fasilitated by Barbara Stephens.
